I currently live in Te Awamutu with my husband, two children, dog, chickens and guinea pigs. I love animals and spending time outdoors, especially discovering new bushwalks in our beautiful country. I have a background in visual arts and design and still enjoy art very much. I've spent the past 2 years at Te Awamutu Primary School where I taught year 5 and 6 students in an art/ design passion class. Here I was able to teach all the curriculum areas through a creative lens where children were able to explore and problem solve through various art and design methods. Previous to Te Awamutu Primary, I taught at a small country school in Motumaoho, similar in size to Wharepapa South. I'm excited to come back into a small school community where I can get to know everyone and help our tamariki discover and follow their passions while building their love for learning. As Brian Tracy said "There are no limits to what you can accomplish, except the limits you place on your own thinking."
